End the Cycle of Puppy Mills! Don't Support Stores that Sell Puppies.

Puppy mills are inhumane dog breeding facilities that sell puppy for profit ignoring the health and well-being of pups and their mothers. The breeding dogs spend their lives cramped in wire cages which are often stacked on top of each other resulting in urine and feces falling floor onto the animals below. Puppies and breeding dogs in mills are given little water and food and no veterinary care. Due to the lack of veterinary and sanitation, puppies suffer from a variety of health issues.

Breeding dogs are forced to produce litter after litter until they can no longer produce and are killed or abandoned. Many puppy mills do not practice humane euthanasia. Dogs are killed in cruel ways, including shooting and drowning.

10,000 puppy mills are estimated to be currently active in the United States and 2 million puppies are sold out of these mills each year. Sadly whenever you purchase puppies from a pet store or online without seeing the actual breeders home you are supporting this cruel industry.

You can help to end this cycle of cruelty by making sure you adopt your pets from a shelter or rescue, or purchase only from a responsible breeder who will show were the puppy was born and raised. If you want to do even more you can stop purchasing from pet stores that sell puppies.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Sign and pledge to adopt your next pet from a shelter, rescue, or a responsible breeder and to stop supporting stores that sell puppies.
