The deforestation of the Amazon is destroying habitats for the wildlife that lives there. It is also getting rid of the homes that indigeneous people live in. With the reduction of trees, an increase of CO2 and other greenhouse gases are appearing in the atmoshpere. This can deplete the ozone layer and have harmful sun rays get through the atomoshpere. These sunrays can lead to a rise in global temperatures, the destruction of crops, and skin cancer.
