Resignation of Councilman at Large Moisse Delgado

On September 3rd Atlantic City Police Officer Josh Vadell a nine year veteran of the department was shot in the head while attempting to stop an armed robbery, hours after that a post was made on Facebook by Councilman Delgado stating “Don’t think that just because suspects were apprehended that the POLICE are relaxing and hands are off their weapons.”

It is seen by many that Councilman Delgado's comments were unwarranted and were inappropriate, especially in a time where the Atlantic City Police Department was in a state of heightened alert as a result of the actions that took place,

It was very inconsiderate of the councilman for his comments as he showed no respect to the residents he was elected to serve nor did he show and respect to the men and women of the Atlantic City Police Department, instead his comments only seemed to be an attempt to further separated the relationship between the police and community which the Department has worked had to do over the past 1 year under Chief Henry White.

All those who have signed this petition ask for the immediate resignation of Councilman Delgado, and a public apology to the Atlantic City Police Department and the officers who put their lives on the line that morning to protect the residents of Atlantic City.
