As a resident of New Jersey for over 25 years, I am outraged that state governor Chris Christie continues to support Donald Trump after Trump's racist comments toward a Hispanic judge and his callous and opportunistic comments following the massacre in Orlando.
Donald Trump recently said that federal Judge Gonzalo Curiel is unfit to work on a lawsuit involving Trump University because of his Mexican heritage. Since then, politicians including Republicans like South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham have denounced Trump's remarks. Graham said Trump's comments toward Judge Curiel were "un-American."
Chris Christie continues to stand behind Trump, saying "Lindsey's lost any credibility he's had."
New Jersey has one of the highest Hispanic populations of all the states. Christie's approval rating was already damaged by his earlier public support of Trump. My state does not want representation from someone who agrees with racist attitudes towards a significant percentage of its population.

As you know, Donald Trump recently said that federal Judge Gonzalo Curiel is unfit to work on a lawsuit involving Trump University because of his Mexican heritage. I understand that you continue to endorse him in spite of this and the rest of his racist and misogynistic comments.
As you know, New Jersey has one of the highest Hispanic populations of all the states. New Jersey does not want representation from someone who agrees with racist attitudes towards a significant percentage of its population. I urge you to rescind your support for Donald Trump.
