In today's modern age we are more conflicted than ever. With the bombardment of "fake news", politics, media, cyber bulling, hackings, etc.. People are being subconsciously told how to react and feel towards topics without letting them read first and decide how to feel last.
Instead Facebooks current model is to read a headline and then (selects facebook emoji) *react*.
This is why I am creating this petition in regards to having Facebook's reaction emoji buttons removed.
I find it frustrating not being able to read a post,article, headline without seeing other people's reaction first. If anything that only frustrates other people and at the same time altering their personal beliefs and feelings by seeing these reactions towards a topic they care about.
I get it and understand that we are not all alike. We are all very different people living on the same planet. Maybe not everyone will be bothered seeing other people react and take certain issues lightly rather than showing that you actually care.

I would not spend time making this petition if I did not see it as a social issue.
When people see the emoji reactions they are already being told moreless how to react, whether to take it serious or not. I have seen posts about about death, war, global issues and yet people are still "laughing".
This only enables others to do the same by harboring this type of behavior and allowing people to grow numb towards topics of the world.
I find this extremely problematic in our society in a time when the world really needs to be helped. By having these emoji reactions removed it will avert people from becoming as desensitized.
I am a believer of reading first THEN reacting and sharing how it made me feel ..not reading the headline then reacting and not even reading the article or post.
By getting your signature with this petition it will not only help restore faith in humanity but also make social media a better place. We do not need to be told how to feel or react first. That is our personal choice to decide.
