An Appropriate and Respectful End to Pat Sharp's Gymnastic Career

The political actions of the Carbon Valley Recreation Center have led to the end of a wonderful coaches career. For over 30 years Pat Sharp has dedicated her life to gymnastics in the Tri Town area. For three decades if someone was speaking of gymnastics in this area they were most likely talking about Pat, or one of her gymnasts. She has given of herself, her time, her energy, and her spirit  to teach and shape each of the gymnastic hopefuls that have crossed her path. Even after the CVRC terminated her employment, Pat has continued to come to work to coach her athletes so as not to leave them before the competition season. True to her spirit, Pat has done this with no pay.

As Pat has worked to set the example of amazing gymnasts we feel that there needs to be an example set of how to say thank you. We feel there needs to be a  show of  appreciation and gratitude for all that Pat has done for so many children and teens.

We the undersigned politely request that the Carbon Valley Recreation Center rename the Gymnastics and Senior Center so that it becomes The Pat Sharp Gymnastics and Senior Center. This gesture will not correct all of the wrongs that have occurred but it will allow Pat to end her career knowing for certain that she has had a lasting impact on Carbon Valley and on future gymnastics.
