OPPOSITION! Refuse Executive Clemency on SUZANNE K JOHNSON

Please help us keep inmate Suzanne Johnson from being freed!

In 1999, she was convicted in a San Diego County Superior Court by a jury, and was found Guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt.

SUZANNE K JOHNSON, an inmate at Chowchilla Women's Prison being represented by an organization, California Innocence Project (CIP). plans to arrive at Governor Jerry Brown's mansion on June 20 2013 with petitions signed in favor of seeking Executive Clemency for 12 California felons that CIP claims were wrongfully convicted.

We oppose this action specifically on Suzanne K Johnson.

CIP claims that Johnson was wrongfully convicted.  CIP's alleges that the evidence presented to the court in 1999, if brought to trial with using today's science, there would not have been a conviction.

As quoted from the Court of Appeal Report:

'Suzanne Kathryn Johnson, a licensed home daycare provider, was found guilty by a jury, of assault on a child causing death under Penal Code section 273ab, whan an infant in her care died after sustaining extensive skull fractures and brain damage.'

Court documents also indicate thorough examinations through autopsy and explicit details of the horrific injuries Jasmine sustained while on Johnson's watch.

We believe this act of violence would have not been judged any differently.

Violence on a child or any human being is still violence and appalling to think that this caregiver should be dismissed from her crime. Jasmine was deliberately left to die. Johnson did not consider help or calling 911 until a couple of hours after Jasmine fell unconscious.

Suzanne Johnson is not innocent and should not be considered for executive clemency.

Jazzy was an extremely good baby, very happy and very healthy.; a beautiful baby girl.  People would stop and compliment her, drawn to her simply because of her contagious smile and how alert she was!

On this upcoming anniversary of her death JUNE 24, she would be 16 years 6 months and 10 days old.

Stand by us, 'Justice4Jazzy'

Please sign this petition and help us be heard...for Jazzy.

Respectfully,
Travis Miller, Crystal Michelle, and our families
