Implement Moratorium Pending Investigation Regarding Purchase Of Monkeys From PPI

An investigation is underway regarding the Canadian government purchasing monkeys from a Florida-based monkey dealer known as Primate Products, Inc. (PPI). This notorious company allegedly imports their monkeys from the wild or they are bred on disgusting, filthy factory farms as a means to sell them for use in painful, terrifying and frequently deadly experiments.

Following the investigation, PPI was supposedly cited by the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) with at least 25 serious animal welfare violations.  PETA claims that PPI let these poor monkeys endure much pain and suffering from fully or partially missing tails and fingers along with performing tail amputations on monkeys without any pain medications, crudely ripped out their teeth, and so much more as documented in the https://secure.peta.org/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=6193.

Surprisingly, the Public Health Agency of Canada has considered purchasing monkeys from this allegedly cruel and notorious PPI Company.  Our efforts in this petition is to encourage them and the Canadian Minister of Health to implement a moratorium pending an investigation of the charges that clears PPI from any wrongdoing or they should be held accountable if found guilty. You can help us to protect these monkeys by signing and sharing this petition.  We need to urge the Public Health Agency of Canada to end its relationship with PPI unless the company is proven innocent of all charges.

Public Health Agency of Canada & Canadian Minister of Health Rona Ambrose – We strongly urge you to implement a moratorium pending an investigation of the charges that clears PPI from any wrongdoing or they should be held accountable if found guilty.  Reconsider dealing with this company that would allegedly promote abuse to these sweet, innocent animals.   We ask that you end your relationship with PPI unless the company is proven innocent of all charges.
