Stop Polluting South Africa's Beaches!

Every year around Christmas and New Year, South Africa's coast is flooded with people wanting to enjoy their holiday. Arriving at the Scottburgh beach (South Coast) early one January morning, I was shocked to see the state it was left in! There was rubbish everywhere and a lot of it had already gone into the ocean, as the tide was getting higher.  The photo attached was taken on this day.

Environmental Scientists predict by 2050 there will be 50% more plastic in our oceans than fish. Let's urge the Umdoni Municipality (Scottburgh) to become part of the solution, not the problem!
