How many more times do we have to listen to the propaganda that a wild animal poses a threat to public safety? Yesterday in Calgary a cougar was brutally murdered (lets call it what it is) because it came into the city. For those not familiar with Calgary then you must understand we have incredible urban sprawl, the location of this incident was wild country a few years ago.
The cougar came upon the south heath campus hospital, Located at the very extreme edge of the city. Fish and Wildlife of Alberta appear to tranquilize the cat but allow no time for the sedative to take effect and immediately kill the animal.
Speak out for this animal and let the Alberta Government know that we will not allow senseless killing of our wild animals.
