All lives matter, Police to have the same rules of engagement as the military.

If the military is trained to kill people, and their rules of engagement are DO NOT shoot unless shot at, and they can follow the rules despite their situations being ten times worse then why shouldn't the same rules apply for police officers? If military personal disobeys rules of engagement they are looking at a discharge and possible jail time, they don't get a paid vacation like police officers. Military have it ten times worse and still follow the rules of engagement. Yet police officers feel the need to shoot a person to death when they feel threatend? So what's the academy for then? Police officers are supposed to use their weapon as a last resort not the first? Which brings another argument, what fighting tactics and self defense tactics do they train you at the police academy? Because the only self defense tactics our officers know is to pull their gun when they feel threatend even against an UNARMED person, they shouldn't be allowed to pull their gun unless they physically see another GUN, not a knife not a bat because they should be trained to fight that off and protect themselves in the academy from those type of low level weapons. This petition is to change the police rules of engagement.
