Delaware - Execute Animal Cruelty Registry as Part of Your Efforts to Control

I have been working diligently in urging all states, one at time, throughout the USA to implement animal abuse registries that will be similar in stature to that of the sex offender’s registries that would take a giant leap in protecting animals.  Delaware has had some talks regarding such a registry but nothing has progressed to ensure such a data base statewide.

Animal services has been working to reduce animal cruelty through investigations and rabies control although the idea of an animal cruelty registry has not been fully presented.  Read more on their efforts and animal cruelty issues at http://www.delawareonline.com/story/news/local/2015/12/28/state-takes-over-animal-control-counties-jan-1/77989594/http://response-a-bull.org/reporting-animal-cruelty/  Although a hot line for abuse exists and talks have been implemented to save animals from loss, abuse and more, an animal cruelty registry would be highly effective in stopping such cruelty to these poor, defenseless beings.

My efforts in this petition is to encourage Delaware State Legislators to implement and approve a strict and highly enforced animal cruelty registry that will protect animals from repeat abuse.  Such a registry would be used by all pet industries, including breeders, shelters and more to ensure animals end up in proper hands.  Anyone who abuses an animal in any manner should be placed on this data base for life, ensuring such a person is no longer near enough to an animal to prevent any inhumane treatment and care.  You can help this mission by signing and sharing this petition, adding your own comments and thoughts on this matter to ensure success and safety for the voiceless.

Delaware State Legislators – It is impressive that you have been working on various plans to help animals statewide and on that note, I strongly urge you to consider implementing and strictly enforcing an animal cruelty registry that will protect all animals from repeat abuse.  Such a registry should be used by all pet industries, including breeders, shelters and more to ensure animals end up in proper hands.  Anyone who abuses an animal in any manner should be placed on this data base for life, ensuring such a person is no longer near enough to an animal to prevent any inhumane treatment and care.  Implementing an animal abuse registry that would be similar in stature to that of the sex offender’s registries that would take a giant leap in protecting animals.
