Residents Against Proposed Sidewalks in the 8500 Block of Wiggins

  • by: Bobbie Latin
  • recipient: City of Houston Mayor Annise Parker, Pleasantville Civic League, Pleasantville Area Super Neighborhood Council #57

If you are concerned about losing 5-feet of your property to the sidewalks proposed by the City of Houston, the Pleasantville Civic League and the Pleasantville Area Super Neighborhood, then you should sign your name under the column "AGAINST" to reflect you do not want sidewalks installed in the 8500 block of Wiggins.

The (21) homeowners, renters & families that live in the 8500 block of Wiggins are a very close-nit family. These residents all agree that sidewalks are essential to some streets, but they all agree that installing sidewalks on either side of this short block of Wiggins will create a hardship on many of the residents.

The residents on Wiggins were not notified by the city, Pleasantville Civic Club or the Pleasantville Area Super Neighborhood that they each had made the decision to put sidewalks in the 8500 block of Wiggins.

None of the people that requested the sidewalks in the 8500 block of Wiggins, live in the 8500 block of Wiggins.
