Demand an End to Ever increasing rail fares and appalling service.

    Too many times now we have experienced delays without sufficient information, overcrowded services due to poor operational decisions, poor service, dangerous travelling conditions and overall shocking customer service.

    After arriving for my train at 7:10 and not being able to board a train until 8:30, despite there being 2 services within that period, enough is enough. We travel day in day out in overcrowded conditions whereby in the event of an accident the risk to life is greatly increased due to the trains being over filled.

    Many times we do not even see a member of train crew as they can not navigate the train safely due to people standing in the aisles. It’s undignified and unnecessary to be pressed against one another on your morning commute.

    Complaint after complaint and yet there are never improvements. The privatisation of the train companies has no doubt lead to this whereby train companies are running as a business rather than a service. More concerned with reducing costs and salvaging their ever decreasing brand image whilst neglecting the obvious solution which is more carriages. How can you expect to cancel 2 consecutive services and then provide a service with only 4 carriages, one of which exclusively reserved for first class.

    We need more accountability from the train providers. If any other consumer focused company/service offered such an embarrassingly low level of service, product reliability, quality or overall experience then they would be boycotted and soon face closure. Yet we continue to pay ridiculous prices to use a service through nothing less than necessity as for most of us there is no alternative.
