Make UK Organ Donation an OPT OUT system

More than 10,000 people need an organ transplant in the UK.

About 1,000 people die every year in the UK while waiting for an organ transplant or because they become too ill to survive an operation and are removed from the list.

Why should lives rest on whether or not somebody could be bothered to fill in a form? The majority of people would accept a donated organ if they were to ever need one so why would you not be prepared to give yours when they are no longer needed?

I strongly feel that the donation of organs should have an opt out policy opposed to opt in, I'm sure that if people were aware and had strong enough views that if they didn't fill in a form to opt out their organs would be used for donation they would fill in that form if they wanted to.....

I have put together this petition to call for parliament to review the donation of organs and to introduce an OPT OUT system in place of the current opt in.
