The removal of Saturday Clearway Parking Restrictions on Waterworks Road Ashgrove.

Brisbane City Council claims that is supports local business however when local Ashgrove residents wish to visit their local bakery, butcher and fish shop of a Saturday morning, unknowingly Brisbane City Council is driving around taking videos of customers parking opposite these premises. Some 2-3 weeks later a notice will arrive which states that you have committed an offence and a $227 dollar fine is to be paid. The signage that is located along this section of Waterworks Road is not clear and confusing. The restriction says it is a Clearway between 7am and 10am on Saturday on a sign which is small and very congested. However, only 20 metres away another sign says that there is a Clearway in effect Monday to Friday 7am - 9am. This petition aims to bring this rampant revenue raising by Brisbane City Council to an end and highlight the need for Brisbane City Council to support local business rather than fine its customers.
