FROM MS JENNIFER THOMPSON - ( Contents of  email communication with shelter management and city code officer )

(ORIGINAL APPROVED ADOPTER -  ANIMAL WELFARE ADVOCATE, FOSTER MOM, SHELTER VOLUNTEER AND MEMBER OF FOUNDATION HELPING TO PROVIDE SERVICE AND FUNDS FOR IRVING ANIMAL SHELTER ANIMALS -

"On June 23rd I went to the shelter to volunteer as I try to do every Sat.  I had noticed Flower had lost a ton of weight because she was not eating.  You could see her spine and hips.  She had been there a few weeks and her health had deteriorated.  I asked Laura immediately if I could take her home, show her some love and fatten her up.  We tried for weeks to make her eat and drink and it was a struggle, but eventually she did.  We tried all kinds of food and even had to put droppers of water in her mouth so she wouldn't dehydrate.  I was very scared for her.  I took her back up to the shelter for the vet to look at her and they said she did not look very well.  Laura said that I would probably just foster her until she died because she looked so bad.  That upset me very much and since that day, I have loved her like it was her last day.  The determined that her teeth were so bad she probably had other problems that we did not know of.  They recommended that I get her teeth pulled right away.

On July 20th, I took her to the dental vet that Amy referred me to in order to get her teeth pulled.  She had several teeth pulled and was in quite a lot of pain for the next week.  We then started the entire healing process over.  We had to figure out what she could eat because of her teeth.  Because she is only four pounds, it was very scary for her to lose weight.  The dental vet asked that I bring her back in 4-6 weeks, because she is 10 years old, so they could make sure there was no infection or other problems.  That day was supposed to be Aug 17th and because I had to bring her back to the shelter, I could not take her.

Throughout this entire process I kept in communication with Michelle.  The shelter never approved her to be the adopter because Flower's health was so bad off.  I was asked if I wanted to adopt her and I said yes!  I went up there to get her rabies shot and pay her fee a few weeks ago, but Fred said to hold off on paying for the adoption because of complications with Michelle.  I promise you I had kept in contact with her, told her everything and I was aware that she had several other animals, she could not feed them herself and that friends were having to help her because times were rough, I knew that she only intended to save flower out of state, so that she could use the entire story as a way to promote her business and gain profit from her.

When I told her that the dental vet wanted to see Flower in 4-6 weeks, she told me that there was something I was hiding about Flower's health and that she had spoken with her friend, who is a nurse, and her friend told her that there would be no reason for them to see her in 4-6 weeks.  By that time, I had had it up to here with her.  We were in constant communication, her, me, pam, amy, and laura all at that time.  The shelter had many sick dogs that were in code red that we were trying to save and she was distracting us all from helping them.  We asked her to be patient and that Flower was safe, we needed to concentrate on the other dogs.  She continued anyways.

The main points are...She was never approved to adopt, she admittedly cannot afford food for her own dogs, she has not given the shelter her legal name, she has not put in one single penny for Flower, she has not contributed to her chip in and shelter me even sent a letter out to all of her friends who had contributed to Flower's chip in to state that the funds needed to be used for dental work and not travel and refunded the money that her friends asked for back to them.  The rest of the money in Flower's chip in was contributed by many other people that do not know her.  She has accused everyone of lies and theft.  She claims she received a congratulations email for Flower, but I did as well.  She asked me to pay her adoption fee and she openly stated she could not afford transportation.  Michelle has also stolen my pictures and is currently using them as her cover page and even admitted to stealing them.  This is against facebook policy.  She is also trying to save other dogs in other states.  In the end, Flower's check up at the dental vet was supposed to be just last Friday and while Michelle has had her own selfish agenda, Flower is still trying to heal.  Michelle has yet to put Flower's best interest first.

I did fall in love with Flower more than I had realized.  She was just now starting to feel better.  After everyone had asked Michelle to stop with her accusations and communications, I thought this was all over with.  Flower again is in the shelter and her health is deteriorating as she is not eating again.  This was the reason I saved her life.  Had I not, she would not be here alive.

I have all the documentation that backs up everything I have stated.  If you would like it, please let me know.  I am attaching a few things, but it is not all the emails.

Thank you for putting Flower's best interests first."
