Tanzania at Dar E Salaam which has Since become the opening of  Chinese market and the growth of its economy, and one being ivory, once a precious material available only to the ruling elite, has become increasingly available to the growing Chinese middle class. In Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, one of the world’s main ports for smuggled ivory it has become increasingly a cause for alarm. At the current poaching rates the elephant may not survive another 10 years.

Elephants have longer pregnancies than almost any other mammal. They carry their calves for 22 months, and cows usually only bear one calf every two to four years. Reproduction rates are not sufficient to sustain population numbers at the current poaching rates

For our pleasures, for our desires an animal must be sacrificed in such a demeaning manner, so inhumanely,  relentless,  shameful and so cowardly... Somethings not right with the world when we live outside our means to defile noble mammals such as these. To think that we have the God given right to do upon  the earth as we please and that she is here as a service to our wants and needs, including all its living plants, trees and animal kingdom is arrogant to say the least.

This unbalance someday will no longer serve us and we too will become hunted by our ignorance and death will follow when the world has been dried up all its natural resources. We must act now,  tomorrow may be too late.  I am truly distraught by this selfishness and our behavior that allows these lowly beings to go on with their evil and greedy deeds. We will all suffer the consequences if nothing is done. We must join forces and place a barrier between evil deeds and the nobility of these social beasts and all other living creatures upon this great gift, our Earth.

Elephants are one of the largest land mammals existing and surviving since prehistoric times to have their lives robbed by lesser men and by such means. They are a keystone species that influence the composition of their environment and benefiting other species and creating an environment conducive to regeneration of healthy forest ecosystems.

We can benefit by learning compassion from them and their family unity, and social camaraderie that somehow has eluded the human race as we grow farther apart from this understanding. " Live and let live " let this be the simple motto to remind us that we are one with all existence, every plant, flower, tree, creature from an ant to an elephant.

The entire ecosystem revolves on this scale of existence and intellectual essence, Shall we join them? It is up to us to use our intelligence for the benefit of all, as one. We are from the same source and its the same spirit that guides us, with the same flesh, bones and blood that created us. We bear pain, love, feel joy, sense, understand, taste, break bones, suffer wounds, bleed, see, hear, remember, cry, and we live and we die.. All of us, every one of us, from tree, to plant, humans, and animals... What sets us apart is we think we" humans" are better than the rest. Why? because of our capabilities of destruction? All other creatures contribute to creation. We are the only ones that take without return of a gift to life. The world is not for our luxury and benefit. We are exhausting all of our earthly resources without replenishment and hence the unbalance in life, in thinking, word, deed, and belief... .

Now is the time to stand up and put an end to the violence upon Earth, to take control and matters in hand. We owe it to our children and future generations to come. What more is it going to take before the realization of a certain catastrophe? We are all in this together and we all need each other to stand as one, be as one, think as one. One power under the veil of creation with compassion and love...

Peace and love to one and all!
