Demand transparency for Reddit moderators

Scandal after scandal has shown that the system for moderation on reddit is broken and prone to corruption. This petition is to encourage the site administrators to start working on tools to fix the situation.

The Reddit team needs to start working on a meta-moderation tool that makes mod actions transparent and allows sub Reddit users to review their actions and decide if the mods are acting correctly. Slashdot had a similar system years ago. They could also just make mod logs public, and have some sort of system for impeaching bad mods. Also, why not make a rule that mods cannot submit content or something along those lines so they can't abuse their power? Why not have a system that takes anonymity away from mods, making them accountable? There are a number of actions that can be taken to help fix this situation, and just replacing mods doesn’t solve the problem, it just opens the site up to new potential corruption.
