Allow All Press Outlets in White House Press Briefings!

  • by: Andrea L.
  • recipient: White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer

On Friday, Feb. 24, the White House banned the attendance of national media outlets including CNN, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Politico from a press briefing. This is an action that runs dangerously close to obstructing the First Amendment, Freedom of the Press. ALL media outlets should be welcome to all White House and presidential press briefings.

Dear Mr. Spicer,

On Friday, Feb. 24, the White House banned the attendance of national media outlets including CNN, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Politico from a press briefing. This is an action that runs dangerously close to obstructing the First Amendment, Freedom of the Press.

Selectively barring media from attendance prevents them from reporting on what you share. We The People respectfully demand that all media outlets be welcome to all future White House and presidential press briefings.

Thank you sincerely for your consideration.
