Go green....Keep it clean....We need space....So find another place.

The recent reconfiguration of the Vendome bus stops, specifically the 90/104 and the 124, has posed a significant risk to pedestrian safety in and around the area of 5100 de Maisonneuve. This is a medical building with a daycare facility located on the ground floor. The play area for the daycare is located in the front of the building. The buses that are parked in front of this building are frequently idling thereby contributing to air pollution as well as noise pollution. The employees, clients, and children are therefore exposed to unnecessary high levels of air pollution which has been linked to health issues.

The physical location of the 90/104 bus stop is less than ideal as it is causing difficult access to the building due to the long lines which often block sidewalk access to the building. In addition the close proximity of this bus stop to the entrance of the construction site makes it even more difficult for pedestrians to navigate their way safely across the intersections (Vendome/de Maisonneuve). It is extremely difficult to navigate through this area on foot but impossible for wheelchair/stroller access.

We would like to propose the following changes:

1) To not allow buses to idle - at any time
2) That the bus stop for the 90/104 be reconfigured to allow better sidewalk access for pedestrians trying to access 5100 de Maisonneuve.
3) Improve safety for pedestrian crossing at the corner of Vendome and de Maisonneuve (metro side) by reconfiguring the location of the bus stop for the 90/104.
