I am starting this petition to stop the new policy going in to effect soon at the Olive Garden. We found out today that soon our credit card tips will be loaded to a pay card within an hour after our shift end.
This is very inconvenient for us as employees. I personally work for tips as it is nice to have my cash available after my shift and I can take care of things as needed. The main problem with this new policy is that we will now have to take an extra 20+ minutes out of our day if we want to have our cash in hand. This does not also count for the fact of the gas money we will have to pay for the extra travel time. Also a lot of ATM machines charge fees on these cards. So not only will we have to waste our precious time, lose money in gas, put wear and tear on our vehicles, but we will have to at times pay for OUR own money which is a bit ridiculous.
In conclusion I am hoping that this petition will make its rounds and hopefully make the Olive Garden (Darden) make this OPTIONAL and not FORCE us to this inconvenience. Thank you for your time and please sign!
