Keep Tennessee Strong

Howdy,

I'm Travis Dean,

I'm a volunteer for this state and a voice for those who ain't heard one in years. Tennessee has a long history of being strong. Our leaders are weak, Our governor is weak, I'm not. God, faith, family, country, ethics and the understanding of right from wrong, understanding the law of the land and how to enforce it, and the ability to understand that the people of Tennessee are the people in charge.
Elected officials have forgotten that they are employees of the people who elected them. I'm a cowboy, my raggedy Wranglers worn out boots, beat down Stetson, torn up button down shirts may not be your thing. I understand that, I am just like everyone else. I've seen wrong, I've seen right. I'm a nobody, I don't know politics but I know what to do and when to do it. I’m a straightforward guy, when things need to be done I believe I can get things done.

The state of Tennessee has always been strong, our governor is weak. Tennessee is strong because of the people, definitely not because of his so called leadership. If I could run for governor tomorrow, with no political experience, I would. At least I have experience in leadership, ethics, rules and have followed politics enough to know that it's just a game that's played by most to make some name for themselves, line their pockets and slip off to a secluded place that the taxpayers paid for.

I'd be one helluva different governor. Politicians will continue to take advantage of the everyday American as long they aren't held accountable for their actions. I believe in everything most law abiding citizens believe in. God, family, country. I may never have the chance to be governor, but if I could for a week, I'd make shit happen real quick. I’m focused on crime, homelessness, healthcare, Veterans, education, poverty, inflation, infrastructure and economy. That list goes on.

Do you want to be sheep attacked by a pack of wolves or would you want a Shepard to stand by your side and protect you from the wrong doing people that don't care? I can only promise to do the job required of me. Everyone has a voice, an opinion, and these should be respected and heard. My only agenda is to improve the betterment and benefit of the people in Tennessee. I'm uninterested in money, recognition or some kind of special status. I simply want to do the job that I don't feel is getting done. I want to do it for everyone who has been forgotten or left behind. We can do this. If you're fine with the current conditions of this state, don't sign the petition for me to run for governor. If you want a change, action, results, effectiveness, then I would appreciate the opportunity to deliver on my promises. Cowboys don't just make promises, we see them through till the end
