Animals are not lamps! They do not belong on Craigslist!!!

A man was arrested on felony animal torture charges this week after several dismembered dogs were discovered in his motel room in Reno, Nev.

Staff at the Super 8 Motel on South Virginia Street made the gruesome discovery inside of 24-year-old Jason Brown's room on Tuesday afternoon; five mutilated dogs' bodies were found inside of the room.

On Tuesday, a maid entered the room to clean when no one answered the door. She was greeted by a horrific scene - the room was covered in bloodstains, dog limbs, bloodied knives and scissors, as well as drug paraphernalia. Several dog heads were found in the room's refrigerator and a decapitated dog's body was in the bathtub.

Brown acquired the dogs via Craigslist from people who were looking to find new homes for their pets; some collars and identifying tags were in the room as well.

Two of the dogs, named Fernell and McGee, are believed to be among the deceased dogs found in the room - a Sparks woman who could no longer care for the small dogs is believed to have given the Chihuahua mixes to Brown.

Following Brown's arrest some individuals contacted investigators to report that they had heard of the accused dog killer's acquisition of dogs through Craigslist; the authorities were told that Brown had stated that he had "urges of rage," and that he had admitted to killing a dog in the past.

Brown is being held on $60,000 bail.

Not only does he need the maximum punishment for his action - but he is not alone. CRAIGSLIST PROVIDES A CONSTANT SUPPLY OF DOGS TO PSYCHOPATHS AND SADISTS. NOTHING IS BEING DONE BY CRAIGSLIST - WHO KNOW ALL TO WELL THAT THESE ACTS OCCUR WITH THE AID OF THEIR SITE - AND YET THEY FAIL TO BAN DOGS FOR SALE OR "FREE TO GOOD HOME"

DEMAND CRAIGLIST NOT TRADE IN ANIMLAS.
