End Corporate Greed: Do Not Move Carrier Plants to Mexico!

  • by: Paige D
  • recipient: Gregory J. Hayes Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of United Technologies, Chris Nelson President of Carrier Corporation

United Technologies, a corporation that made 56.1 billion dollars in 2015, is moving two of their Carrier plants from Indianapolis and Michigan to Mexico; where they plan to pay workers the unfair living wage of $3 dollars an hour.

This is a corporation that paid a $172 million dollar pay package to their last CEO.

This will cause a total of 2,100 people in the United States to lose their jobs.  1,400 people from the plant in Indianapolis and another 700 people from the plant in Michigan.  People who need to provide a living for themselves and their families.

We need to put an end to corporate greed and reject unfair living wages.

Tell United Technologies and Carrier: do not move your plants to Mexico!

Dear Mr. Hayes and Mr. Nelson,

I strongly urge you to not lay off your hardworking employees to move plants to Mexico and pay workers an unfair living wage of $3 dollars per hour.
