The Liberals and Catherine McKenna blew it when they requested that the NCC reconsider the site that was approved in 2014, for the construction of the new Civic Hospital Campus. The current Campus has served Ottawa since 1924. The world-renowned Heart Institute, which is remaining at the current location for many years after the new construction, would have been connected via tunnel to the 2014 approved site. For the benefit of a few hundred residents, one million residents in the Ottawa-Carleton region will endure a terrible location for its new hospital, for the next hundred years. Unfortunately, the new site is solely the result of political objectives that have no consideration for convenience and cost of construction. Join us in petitioning all levels of government to move the proposed Civic Hospital Campus site back to its planned location as approved in 2014.
