Our Beloved Father, Your Holiness Pope Tawadros II,
After asking for your prayers and blessings, we, the youth of the Archdiocese of North America, humbly wish to express our thanks for the last few months during which we were blessed with the presence and leadership of the Very Reverend Father Saraphim Elsouriany.
A man of deep spirituality, prayer, wisdom, and simple love, Father Saraphim spread Christ’s love in our churches, our youth events, our homes, and our hearts. His love for us, the youth, was evident in our conventions, spiritual days, and gatherings during which we were touched by his unique ability to communicate with us, his rich lectures, and his musical talent. It was also evident in our times of need, in which he listened to us with open ears and the heart of a true father.
Thus, we deeply thank our Lord Jesus Christ for granting us the blessing of Father Saraphim's service to us. We wish to have continued to thrive under his guidance for a much longer time, or at the very least, to have had the chance to honor and thank Abouna Saraphim prior to his sudden departure. However, we submit to the Lord's holy will and your Holiness's wisdom.
