Investigate the Case of Arthur Tyler

Just before trial, Head struck a deal with prosecutors and fingered his co-defendant, Arthur Tyler, instead. Arthur has sat on Ohio's death row for 25 years for a crime he did not commit.
Head could be paroled as early as next year, even though he has acknowledged several times since that he was the triggerman after all.
On May 16, 1989, Head told attorneys Joanne Bour-Stokes and Richard Vickers that he had lied when he testified at Tylers trial and that he (Head) killed Leach. Head said the prosecutors threatened him at Tyler's second trial that if he did not testify he would be tried for capital murder or sent to a less secure prison, with the prosecutor making sure the other inmates knew he was a snitch.
Time really is running out for Arthur.

We are sure that you are a fair minded man, who believes in truth and justice. Please listen to our concerns.
Arthur Tyler has sat on Ohio's death row for 25 long years for a crime the evidence and the testimony proves he did not commit.
Leroy Head, confessed to this crime, NOT once but more than five times.
He even admitted to his own mother he had commited this crime. She told him to confess and he did.
Prosecutorial misconduct and inept defence counsel helped to send Arthur to Death Row.
His first trial was made null and void due to the way the defence acted in court. The first trial transcripts are now online for all to see.
It it time that Arthur's case was FULLY investigated and Arthur finally freed.
Leroy Head who confessed will be a free man in the near future.
This seems so very unfair.
Please investigate this case as soon as possible.

Ive known Arthur for thirthy years and I know he is no killer
Because if mr Head has confessed, please let mr Tyler go free he has lost his mother and two brothers during his incarceration
because i also know what it's to have a inocent love one in jail my brother was sentens to 15 yrs in a state prision in New Hampshire for a crime that was prove by a poligraph hi did no commit. but hi still setting in jail because no one is willing to lissent.
because onother person came forward saing that he was the one who had commited the crime.
any case of injustice should be important to us all , it's this man today , it could be me tomorrow or you . the death penalty is barbaric and uncalled for in this day and age , i'm suppoeting arthur and the other men and women who languish on death row
investigate this case , there is a signed confession , how much more do they need , release this innocent man , dont execute him for a crime he did not committ , infact dont execute anyman or woman , not ever .
Arthur's case should be investigated immediately. There is far too much evidence of prosecutorial misconduct and withheld confessions. For our justice system to have any integrity, this case must be examined and the media should give it the attention it deserves.
This case should be investigated because the testimony of the co-defendent should never be the only source of evidence to put anyone on death row.
I have read about this case and this man is clearly innocent.He should be freed immediately.

The evidence that Arthur Tyler did not kill Sander Leach is overwhelming. Further, Leriy Head has confessed on numerous occassions to the murder but Ohio has turned a blind eye to these confessions and seeks to execute the wrong man. This injustice cannot be allowed to continue,
When convictions involve snitiches, it is never reliable testimony and should never be used in Capital Cases. This man was obviously set up by his co defendant, and his life should be spared.
To sentence Mr. Tylor to die was not Justice and anyone can see it. The perpetrator has confessed to the crime and therefore should've Mr. Tylor never been sentenced to die. This case must be investigated, not at least because the prosecutor forced the witness to lie.
I oppose injustice wherever it occurs.
Another man claims to have committed the murder for which Arthur Tyler faces execution. Under any normal interpretation of JUSTICE, that warrants proper investigation and if provably true, the case against Tyler must be dismissed. The failure of the State of Ohio to follow this course suggests it really isnt bothered about truth and justice and just wants to execute people, guilty or not.
Sounds like another case of enforcement trying to "rap up" a case in order to be heroes for a few moments.
The honest one or ones need to look at the evidence and their consciences and like the mother said to her son---they too need to "come clean". IF our leaders and those who enforce our laws are willing to hedge so at truth, how in the world can we expect that this youthful generation will mature to be any different? I consider the death penalty to be wrong as it is unreversable, meaning that when mistakes are made, as they too often are, there is no way to change things back.
If someone else has already confessed, why the insistence on executing Arthur? Is the same intensity being placd on the investigation into this other man as is placed on executing Arthur?

The facts of this case are that Mr. Tyler should be in jail, as he was an accomplice to Mr. Leach's murder. However, Mr. Head has said many times that he himself pulled the trigger. Therefore, Mr. Tyler should be retried.
I believe this is a terrible miscarriage of justice
The case clearly need re-opening because Mr Head has already confessed.
This case needs to be reinvestigated immediately.
I believe in justice not, as in this case, injustice. Please investigate the case.

The death penalty is barbaric and wrong. No matter what crime a person commits, it does not make it acceptable to take their life. The fact that there is ANY doubt in this case makes it an even greater miscarriage of justice
This case needs to be re-opened, I personally am going through this same type of situation with my boyfriend, who also has a petition on this website!! He was recently WRONGFULLY CONVICTED of a crime he did not commit!! Situations of this matter goes to show that the JUSTICE SYSTEM IS NOT THE JUSTICE SYSTEM, ITS THE INJUSTICE SYSTEM!!!! FREE ARTHUR TYLER!!!!!
Please keep an innocent man from the death penalty. Please break the cycle of violence.
How can people treat another's life so casually? An innocent man is facing death because someone somewhere is unable to give this case the prority it deserves. Shame on you.
