Don't Destroy California's Trees

A controversial federal policy that could require millions of trees to be cut down in California's Central Vallley levees is the target of a lawsuit.

On Monday, June 20, three environmental groups: Defenders of Wildlife, the Center for Biological Diversity and Friends of the River, filed suit against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in federal court in Sacramento, CA, to prevent this tree-removal.
We the undersigned,
On Monday, June 20, three environmental groups filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Sacramento, California.
At issue was a controversial federal policy that could require millions of trees to be chopped down in California's Central Valley. This would be a massive infliction of environmental damage on California's rivers, and would destroy much of the remaining 5% of the Central Valley's riparian forest.
Please do not pursue this policy of tree-removal, which would cause massive environmental damage in California.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
