I think that it should not matter the gender of the person that you love but it should matter that you are both happy and treat each other respectfully. Like me and my girlfriend soon to be fiance.

I am ready for the world to finaly see things from our point of view!

I think all people have the right to get married no matter their sexual orientation. They say America is a free country, but what is so free about it if homosexuals can’t even get married to the ones they love. People should have the right to choose if they get married, not be told they can’t. Homosexuality is not a disease. Homosexuals are people too, not animals, nor are they random objects that deserve any less than to be treated like the humans they are.

Yes

What kind of place is North Carolina & South Carolina if you don't allow us to get married? Sounds like a terrible place to live, and I know I'll never come to visit, why would I go somewhere that represents Hating Gays? Why I ask. Do the right thing already and let us GLBT People Get Married already already.

Do The Right Thing and stop promoting Hate already. We all can see it, how come you don't? How come I ask. What is Driving you, if Love Is Not Driving? What I ask?

To bow to religious pressure in our judicial system is wrong. All humans have basic rights, and one of those is to love who they want, regardless of sexual preference. The same rights should be granted to homosexual couples that heterosexual couples enjoy. Please do not endorse hate in North and South Carolina.

I have lived in south carolina all my life, and it's appalling that south carolina does nothing to protect or support LGBT rights. things need to change in this red state, and it won't be until certain things like gay marriage are pushed into columbia lawmakers offices and in the south carolina senate floor

I think us gay people should be able to get married, love is not just a gender issue, there is enough discrimination in the US and we need to get rid of this form of it

Love is about the heart, not the genitals. If people are so blind they cant realize that a gay person does not look at the "sex" of the person they are in love with then its time for God to step back in and redesign the human race. If every heterosexual would remember back to the point where they knew they were in love I am sure they would realize that there was nothing in their mind about the sex of the other person. Its an emotional attachment our hearts and minds make with a person that leads us to love. NOT what sex they are. We are raised to believe that the opposite sex is who we should love but just because mom and dad say so doesnt mean our heart will follow that advice. There have been arguments about enviroment, genetics, and so forth as to why a gay person is gay. We are gay because the world needed a way to refer to us that would make them comfortable with who we are. We are no different than our heterosexual brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins etc. Our hearts just belong to someone who happens to be the same "sex" we are.

Making Gay Marriage legal would be a great boon to our fight, and I am all for it. But we really need to affect a change on the Federal Laws as well as State Laws.

Honestly in this day in age with our so called 'freedom of speech' and 'separation of church and state' and 'equal rights for all' why can a straight couple who don't love each other only marry for money or because other reasons when a gay/lesbian couple who truly love each other can't. I'm only 23 but I have ran the gambit of questions to why I want to get married to the reasons why it's wrong. Such as "gay people spread disease" well if we want marriage this badly we wont be cheating on our partners and spreading disease and besides that so do straight people, and "god sees it as a sin" yes god does, but separation of church and state, also god believe all sins are equal and only he has teh right to judge so my sin as a lesbian woman is the same as you thinking Angelina Jolie is hot while your married because your eyes wonder and you are at heart and adulterer in the eyes of the lord, any and every sin is equal to him. Also if those who say that don't follow all of gods rules they have no stand point to talk from and no one is perfect except jesus and god him self so don't judge us. We're in the eye of every one, celebs can get married and have a divorce less than 24 hours from each other but any time a gay couple splits its because gays shouldn't get married in the first place so when we do decide to get married we know all of this ahead of time and pick some one that we know we will be with forever. gay/lesbian marriage should be allowed no matter where you are. There is no logical reason why we shouldn't love is love no matter who you are. You don't even have to accept us, just tolerate it and let us have our rights as Americans.

Change is everywhere and in every part of life. I am ready for a change I don't want to see any more gay/lesbian people in the future have to go through what we did just so they can get married. Lets get this done now! I personally can not wait till i can marry my beautiful wonderful g/f.

I always thought that in a democratic society the people always ruled the land and had a big voice on how it should be ran. Who has the right to tell me who I can marry and who I can't?

I am so ready for a change! I have met the man of my life and I want to be his for the rest of our lives.
