Tennessee is one of the states that does not have these rights. I am the only grandparent they ever bonded with since birth and because they are in state custody because their mom is unstable and dad in jail, I can't see them and continue to be a part of their lives. I thought CPS would protect them, and all they did was keep me from them. I love these children. It hurts to hear that I can't have contact with them. The laws in TN need to be changed and CPS and DCS needs help in realizing that the children need protection and they need their family to help them get through the trama of losing their parents.

We the undersigned, want to bring Grandparent's Rights to US. Over 1/2 the states in America have them. Why not TN? Am I the only one in TN that has had this problem with Department of Children Services? It could happen to you! Please support me in the continuing fight to see my grandchildren. It has been a month since I saw them. I miss them so bad and to imagine what is going through their minds, where is Nana? , where is my family and cousins and friends? Thank you for your support!

I am currently fighting the state of AZ for my grandchildren. I live in PA and applied as kinship foster parent for my two grandchildren that cps has taken. I have passed all my background checks and did everything now it is up to Az. I also have a petition on this site GRANDPARENTS AGAINST CPS> The laws do need to be reformed> write to your senator and state representative< also the judge, foster care review board, and the attorney general of cps/des, casa. When you write to one of these people make copies of the letter and send a copy to all the others. At the bottom of the letter make sure you put Bcc: and list everyone you send copies to. Also I know it gets to be expensive but send everything certified mail and pay the extra for signature cards so you know who signed for the letter and retain a copy for your file.

we need grandparents rights in florida.also Fathers rights when clearly the children should go to the dad, because the mother neglects her 8 and 3 year old and the judge gave them to the mother/where is this justice.the children suffer and will not be productive adults. but probably behind bars someday.

This is unimaginable, not only should this grandmother be allowed to see her grandchildren, the children should be in her care while the parents are unable to care for the children. The grandmother's financial situation would make it difficult for her to care for the children, therefore the funds that are currently dispersed for their care should be allocated to her for their benefit.
