Please Save our AKC,CKC Pugs of Color from Extinction!

Target:
Any one who loves Pugs of Color and their offspring, and wants them to Live! theme
Sponsored by:
This petition has been created to saved the Pugs of color all over the world from extinction. In Canada on the Decision of a Dogshow Conformation Judge to award a FIRST PLACE RIBBON to a BRINDLE PUG in the SHOW RING on his MERITS, the Pug Clubs have decided in their infinate wisdom that only Fawn and Black Pugs should be allowed to be registered and shown if they can make it so. They are trying to make a law in the registry that Pugs of color only be allowed limited registration now with no access to the main registry and that they not be allowed to have offspring of any color that can be registered thus creating a genocide effect on all Pugs of color. The Pugs of COLOR would evenually become totally eradicated from the pug breed. Unfortunately we have received heartbreaking news that they have succeeded in passing this law in Austrailia. The Pug Color Club is trying desperately to stop this horrible fate for the beautiful pugs of color in the rest of the world but we need your help. Please if you love Pugs of all colors or own a pug of color or a traditional colored pug from a pug of color history SIGN THE PETITION and HELP STOP THIS GENOCIDE !!!!!!!!!! The pugs colors are a part of our HISTORY and were owned by many royals, with one of the earliest painting of a  famous pug being a Brindle. To view our history please visit www.PugColorClub.com

It is unfair to disqualify breeds on color variations. I own MinPins and My favorite color on a minpin is blue. You can not show a blue minpin but you may register it. also Dogs of color may produce the best quality of the desired color. To say that you cant register a pug of color is wrong color has nothing to do with weather the dog is purebred or not.

Wow, I can't even believe this. I was simply looking for a pug and discovered all of this controversy over breeding out colors within the breed except for what someone has decided should be the standard. I won't make this long-winded but I see a lot of Elitism here and what I would consider parallels to how the Germans treated the Jews during the Holocaust. This is no different than wanting all human beings to be blue-eyed and blonde-haired. It's wrong... shame on those who have a hand in it.

Pugs of all colors are beautiful and who is to say a pug of color other than black or fawn are substandard. They are still wonderful Pugs who have wonderful personalities and have a lot of beauty to add to the Pug world. Who are they to control the genetic pool and say what should live or be accepted. This sounds like China and they can only have one child and what gender OMG get a grip.

Pugs are beautiful, no matter what color they are! Mine happen to be SILVER/GREY, WHITE, BRINDLE, apricot, fawn & black & are ALL equally as beautiful, personable, happy & healthy & bred to Pug standards, even if the coat color varies.

I have lived with pugs most of my life and I am old enough to remember family and friends who had pugs of color, of course they were frowned on by some as not being "a real pug". They were all bred dogs with AKC papers, yet somehow that was not good enough. I wish the tyrants at PDCA would just grow up! What are show breeders afraid of? Maybe that pugs of color would someday become a challenge in the show ring. Personally, I care about the health of pugs and I feel that diversity would be good for the breed.

I personally do not care because my pugs are my companions, not for showing or breeding and I do not pick a puppy by its color, but for its sweet, endearing nature.

Pugs of color should be counted too.

This is nonsense! Stop the prejudiceness! You might as well be saying Miss America can only be black or white.

I own a pug and pug mix, both are adorable lovable pups. I cannot imagine any color being undesirable. I thought they only came in three colors. Finding there are more varieties offers more to love.

the significant negative impact of excluding colors from the gene pool has been noted in several different breeds, this would be a huge mistake to exclude otherwise healthy show quality dogs because of color.

Dogs are a treasure and to say one is not good enough or worthy just because it doesn't possess the desired color is an outrage. I have a pugrat , that I rescued. She was discarded because she was a mistake, not a purebred. I think a brindle in any breed is gorgeous. Shame on anyone to discard a dog based on it's color.

I own a little black pug and just recently I discovered that pugs came in so many colors. I'm signing this petition in hopes that pugs of color will always exist. I say a pug is a pug and I love them all, regardless of color or how much they fart.

I have a black pug now but in the future I hope to get a gray/silver. I simply say a pug is a pug and I love them all.

Thats crazy my brindle pug is one of the happiest and most beautiful pugs that I have ever seen. He looks more like a true pug than my fawn pug. That is crazy; just because there is a little difference between colors doesn't make them any less of a wonderful pug.

We own a very handsome black pug. I just recently started researching the brindles, silver/greys, and white pugs. I will own all of those colors someday regardless as to what registries say. I find them beautiful! It makes me sad as to why anyone would discriminate on a color of a dog. It's actually quite pathetic to know that there is color discrimination not only in people, but in dogs too? What is the sense in that? These beautiful pugs have every right to be registered as the black pugs and the fawn and black do. Hopefully, we can put a stop to this.
