Any one who loves Pugs of Color and their offspring, and wants them to Live! theme

This petition has been created to saved the Pugs of color all over the world from extinction. In Canada on the Decision of a Dogshow Conformation Judge to award a FIRST PLACE RIBBON to a BRINDLE PUG in the SHOW RING on his MERITS, the Pug Clubs have decided in their infinate wisdom that only Fawn and Black Pugs should be allowed to be registered and shown if they can make it so. They are trying to make a law in the registry that Pugs of color only be allowed limited registration now with no access to the main registry and that they not be allowed to have offspring of any color that can be registered thus creating a genocide effect on all Pugs of color. The Pugs of COLOR would evenually become totally eradicated from the pug breed. Unfortunately we have received heartbreaking news that they have succeeded in passing this law in Austrailia. The Pug Color Club is trying desperately to stop this horrible fate for the beautiful pugs of color in the rest of the world but we need your help. Please if you love Pugs of all colors or own a pug of color or a traditional colored pug from a pug of color history SIGN THE PETITION and HELP STOP THIS GENOCIDE !!!!!!!!!! The pugs colors are a part of our HISTORY and were owned by many royals, with one of the earliest painting of a  famous pug being a Brindle. To view our history please visit www.PugColorClub.com

Dogs are a treasure and to say one is not good enough or worthy just because it doesn't possess the desired color is an outrage. I have a pugrat , that I rescued. She was discarded because she was a mistake, not a purebred. I think a brindle in any breed is gorgeous. Shame on anyone to discard a dog based on it's color.

I own a little black pug and just recently I discovered that pugs came in so many colors. I'm signing this petition in hopes that pugs of color will always exist. I say a pug is a pug and I love them all, regardless of color or how much they fart.

I have a black pug now but in the future I hope to get a gray/silver. I simply say a pug is a pug and I love them all.

Thats crazy my brindle pug is one of the happiest and most beautiful pugs that I have ever seen. He looks more like a true pug than my fawn pug. That is crazy; just because there is a little difference between colors doesn't make them any less of a wonderful pug.

We own a very handsome black pug. I just recently started researching the brindles, silver/greys, and white pugs. I will own all of those colors someday regardless as to what registries say. I find them beautiful! It makes me sad as to why anyone would discriminate on a color of a dog. It's actually quite pathetic to know that there is color discrimination not only in people, but in dogs too? What is the sense in that? These beautiful pugs have every right to be registered as the black pugs and the fawn and black do. Hopefully, we can put a stop to this.

This is dispicable! Pugs of color are beautiful and should be celebrated. My silver-fawn, Gus, is just as much of an authentic pug as my black, Annie. They are both wonderful, loyal dogs. Anyone who wants to wipe out colors just because they are not favored ought to take a look back in the history books--obviously they are not mutants, or mutts--some of the early members of the breed were pugs of color, too!

Please take ethical and compassionate action by ensuring that ALL pugs of various colors continue on into the future. You might research the fact that at one time in history the black pugs were culled. Thank goodness that wise and loving humans recognized that this was wrong and saved them from extinction. Now it's our turn to save the other colors that are under attack because pugs are gorgeous and soulful in every color that nature intended them to be.

We own a brindle Pug and have more pleasure from the comments of people that meet him. They are beautiful dogs please do not ban Pugs of color.

Pugs of color are natural and if you ban them you are messing with nature

Please keep Pugs of all color If you breed and mix dogs of two different colors sooner or later you will come up with a different color and I believe as long as you are breeding two purebred registered Pugs what ever color come in the litter should be excepted (keep the brindle, Silver, white,& chocolate Fawn,Black,Apricot, stone)

I would hope that people in the pug club actually do there history and the pug. I cant believe they want to sit there and say pugs are only meant to be fawn and black. I'm a owner of a silver pug which is by the way, by AKC a stander ed color of the pug but yet refuse to let him be in any shows. Pugs have come in many colors in the past and for us to not recognize that would be heart breaking and ruin the great diversity in these pugs.

Throw a pug party

To whom it may concern, We are the proud owners of a white pug and a black. We believe that our white pug is just as deserving as our black for his akc papers. We feel it would be a great unjustice to take this away.

We have a 10 month old female fawn CKC registered pug, and she is the best thing that has happened to us! We love her so much, and she is a daughter to us. I think all pugs of all colors should be treated the same way. I actually find the brindle, and apricot, ect colors to be rare, and exqusite!

Our pugs are a part of our history and as color as in people shouldn't be a issue either in this breed. Please don't narrow this as life in the past did with people of other races. Let the histoy and color be smiled upon as God smiles of nature being what it is.Tis is a beautiful breed of pugs.

A pondering matter.

Brindle's beautiful, Nature loves variety. By destroying variety and closing your mind you are condemning your soul.

They won't take anything from me, don't let them take anything from you.

The people who make these sorts of decision either have never sat in the same room with a pug or are dog OWNERS, seeing their animals as property and a hobby as apposed to a pet. Think about the average Joe pug fan here, people!

If they want my pug's papers, I'll burn them like a bra in protest and send them the ashes. It won't change my dog in the least.

This reeks of disrespect to all breeders & owners. If they start with Pugs, next the AKC will go after brindle Mastiffs, Great Danes, etc. An animal cannot be held responsible for being a certain color, just as a human being may be of mixed heritage and may look different from relatives. The AKC should spend its time & resources working to make dogs healthier & places in better homes.

As a Board member in another prestigious animal registry, I fully understand the impact of limiting registrations within a breed. The "other" colors exist in the genetic make up of the breed and to arbitrarily deny their existence invades breeders personal and professional decisions to breed for the healthy future of the breed. Registries should not be in the business of dictating breeders prerogatives, which condoms the misregistration of animals just to allow them to be shown. If breeders have access to the animals'registration number, they can decide if the want to have those genetics in their lines. This is not a registration decision or right. It is a very narrow act of artificially structuring a breed based on prejudice rather than science. Limiting a registry arbitrarily also encourages mis registrations just to be able to show their dogs. Every loses.
