New York state's parks system is facing another round of budget cuts that is may result in many parks and historic sites being closed this summer, including historic Johnson Hall.
The Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry states "The site has been open continuously since its purchase by New York state in 1905 and is the location for school trips, special events such as Market Fair and St. John's Day, weddings and community events. It is a vital tourist destination for our entire region ... The Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry strongly opposes the closing of Johnson Hall."
