Because of new, and much more damaging developments, Nevada's Wild Horses are now in even more danger of being sent to slaughter or killed outright. Due to recent actions by Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) Director Tony Lesperance, Nevada State Veterinarian Phil LaRussa, and Wildlife Commissioner Gerald Lent (all Governor Gibbons' appointees), Gibbons' efforts to remove Nevada's free-roaming Wild Horses have become even more ominous. Even Nevada's Wild Horse Birth Control Program was stopped (with no explanation other than "it wasn't needed any longer), and orders were actually given out to kill orphan foals rather than send them to volunteer caregivers. Now, they are making additional statements which are not only false, but libelous as well. Once more, we are asking you to sign this petition and let our voices be heard.
