Stop Tungsten mining at Verlorenvlei

  • by: Interested citizens

A Ramsar site - Verlorenvlei ('lost' lake) is a magnificent freshwater feature on the West Coast of South Africa. A birding site par excellence, this site is tragically threatened by a proposed tungsten mine. Please encourage the National Department of Mineral Affairs and Department of Environmental Affairs to make a decision against mining within this rich landscape which supports internationally significant biodiversity.
