This is absolutely disgusting. As a devout anti-theist, I'm happy seeing essentially every christian denomination denounce this piece of inbred filth. His fault or his mothers, it's a shame such a severe case of alcohol-fetal syndrome is allowed to pollute the gene pool for the rest of us. This Fred Phelps is no revered, and the WBC is no church. Just a sect of like minded god-fearing fools rubbing their collective IQ's together, all 23 or so of them.

When I first received the mail about this I thought it was a joke! it is unbelievable that a groups that considers itself Christian would promote hate! This can not be allowed. Churches are not in the business of promoting hate and intolerance, that is the domain of fanatics,extremists and organized hate groups. This is a travesty to hijack the name of G-D. The Metro DC bus made an error in judgement by allowing to let this sort of advertisement on their busses. It is outrageous!

This is disgusting and is a complete step backwards for American society. God help any society that furthers blasphemous hate like this in public. Just because an organization has enough money to exercise their Constitutional right to free speech doesn't mean the public just has to sit back and take it. If a majority of American disagrees and feels threatened enough to shoot an idea like this down, it is ultimately up to the American public. Let this evolve into the passing of a law against the posting of partisan statements, especially statements as volatile as this, on public property. DC Metro's leniency for gifts of money is terrifying.

I can't imagine this petition is necessary seeing that what these people are attempting to do is not advertise but rather commit a hate crime. Their message, although disgusting, is their right. But it is not acceptable to portray in such a fashion as to demean and cause harm to anyone else.
