Stop the Kennel Club allowing Cavalier Kc Spaniels with Syringomyelia to be bred

Maybe some of you know that the Kennel Club only accept the highest standard breed of dogs. To acheive this they condone and promote inbreeding. Obviously this causes major health problems for the puppies.
If puppies who are bred solely for show purposes arent born with the right markings, right shape or the right characteristics are culled.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are subject to a number of serious hereditary diseases and conditions. Aside from Heart mitral valve disease, probably the most well known and wide spread of the fatal diseases I have recently found out that 1/3 of the population of Cavalier Kc Spaniels have Syringomyelia. This is most painful and annoying for the dog and is very distressing to witness a pet go through it.

Crufts allow dogs to compete who have this disease, the KC allow dogs to be bred who have it if it means they look desirable. Owners who show their dogs dont care that their pet will be in tremendous amounts of pain when it gets home. They just care about prizes, trophies and reputation.

As for myself, an owner of a lovely 4 year old Cavalier Kc named Daisy who has no interest in shows or trophies and is scared to death that my dog may have it due to the fact that these arrogant people care more about looks and money and not how much these animals are suffering. Not to mention how much we suffer watching our pets, whom we love, in so much pain.

I dont want this breed to be so riddled with problems that theyre not even going to make it through puppy stage. We'd be losing the most loveable, soft, kind, gentle, loyal and intelligent little dog.
