Educate Children about Nutrition

Nutrition education is provided to some schools but not all. By making at least fifty hours of nutrition education to each student per school year mandatory to all public schools, private schools, home schools, and schools on the reservation, we can make a difference to create a healthier future for all children around ages 3-19. Teachers, staff, and parents can be required to receive technical assistance and research based training to help provide understandable, developmentally appropriate, and culturally relatable, skills and knowledge to protect and promote health and well-being of children ages 3-19. This policy change will support the NASW Code Of Ethics, service value. By providing access of services to all children through education. (National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics, 2017).
