THANK officer who helped save a choking pet!

THANKS and big round of applause for the Port Authority Officer (New York/New Jersey) who helped save a choking dog. The elderly owners were stuck in traffic, trying to get through the Holland Tunnel.

The officer responded to the owners' plea for help. After trying but being unable to dislodge the treat in the dog's throat, the officer, Thomas Feukerough, put the owners and dog in his car, rushing them to a vet. Another officer then joined the escort, and others helped block roads to let them pass.

Imagine the couple, watching their beloved little dog's tongue and mouth turn blue. Imagine their anguish, knowing he could not breathe. Now picture the officers working to save him. The vet said they arrived with little time to spare. The face above may say it all. That is Julius, the Maltese.

With all the negative stories about authority figures of every kind, and those involving officers in particular, it's great to see one like this.
We are proud of this officer. We thank all those who assisted.

Update #19 years ago
Thank you for your help. I regret that we have not yet reached our goal of 500 signers. However, I do want the thanks to reach the officer while it is still timely; so I will be closing the petition today... in about an hour, I hope. Thank you.
