Tell Decatur to Keep Glass Recycling!

Ninety percent of the people living in Decatur, Georgia said they would not mind paying a little extra to recycle their glass. So why is the City of Decatur even thinking about dumping their glass recycling program?

It seems that City Councilman Gary Hammon doesn't think recycling glass is worth it. He is wrong. Glass recycling cuts down on a tremendous amount of pollution that is associated with the production of new glass.

Please join me in asking the Decatur city council to maintain glass recycling at a small charge to all residents.

Dear Decatur City Council Members:

I was really surprised and a little shocked to learn that you would even consider discontinuing your glass recycling program. Glass recycling saves on a great deal of pollution that is associated with the production of new glass. And, beyond that, your residents want to recycle glass. It appears they understand the value of glass recycling better than some of your council members. Please continue your glass recycling program at a small cost to residents.
