IT'S INHUMANE! -ST. JUDE'S COON HUNT BENEFIT *Let me first start by saying that I have always been a big advocate and supporter of St Jude's Children’s Research Hospital. **Please take a moment to place a call or email to St. Jude’s (Angela Richmond Director, Public Relations (901-578-6658) comm@stjude.org ... and ask them to please reconsider their affiliation with this appalling event.** They save the lives of countless children every day and are a true humanitarian organization. Or so I thought… I was shocked and appalled to come across the online promotion of the “St. Jude Coon Hunt Benefit”, sponsored by the United Kennel Club, a St. Jude affiliate, and the Decatur County COON HUNTERS CLUB in Parsons, Tennessee, "Decatur County’s WORLD'S LARGEST COON HUNT BENEFIT FOR ST JUDE" APRIL 10-14 2014 http://www.ukcdogs.com/Web.nsf/WebPages/Coonhounds/StJude This is the 39th Annual one too!!! Given the fact that raccoon hunting is so insidiously inhumane, it is unimaginable how a humanitarian organization such as St Jude Children’s Hospital would participate and condone something so cruel. I contacted St. JUDE's and their response was they will take donations from this and any other such event. No more donations from me!!!!! Also PLEASE contact the United Kennel Club.

We would request that you not endorse or accept any donations from such a cruel event ever again. Many former people whom have donated to St. Jude's will no longer be donating because of this affiliation. Please, both St. Jude's and The American Kennel Club, rethink this event!
