Allow Residents to Park on Editor Street

After living at my current residence for 3 years, the Mayor has decided that it's more important for Editor Street to look nice than it is for me to park in front of my residence. There are plenty of other streets which could use improvements than to focus on this one. My residence is in the middle of the block with no alley. I am the only resident on Editor Street with this particular circumstance. My son lives with me and my daughter will soon be home from college. Even if I cleaned out my garage, with 2 or more cars in the driveway, we would have to play musical cars every night. (I don't think the Village should tell me I need to clean out my garage either.) My garage is very small (only for 1 car) and I prefer to store stuff in it (isn't that my prerogative?) Even so, I would have to go in my back door which has a very, very small staircase and no overhang which would be a nightmare having to carry in groceries, etc. I never thought a small town like Ashland would put such restrictions on its residents. I explained that I would have to rent a storage space or move and was told "I guess you will have to!" Please sign this petition to remove parking restrictions from Editor Street so I can park in front of my own residence!!
