We CANNOT allow this neglected, malnourished, abandoned PUG to return to the people who mistreated him and kept him starved, dehydrated, lonely and crying on a balcony day and night! Balconies are for plants, NOT PUGS!! Please let the Downey Animal Control Officers know that we support their diligent investigation and demand justice for JUDE!

JUDE the “Balcony Pug” was left on a balcony after his owners moved out of their condo for 4 full days without any food, water, or shelter, until Good Samaritans moved by his constant cries rescued JUDE off that balcony just as a cold rainstorm rolled in. The balcony was covered in feces indicating JUDE had been kept there for weeks if not months. There was one empty bowl and a broom - nothing for him to lay on, nothing to shelter him from the burning sun, or the cold nights. If he had not been rescued, who knows how long he would have been out here and if he would be alive today. He was dehydrated, malnourished – every bone in his ribcage and spine was showing. He was filthy, smelling of urine and feces after sleeping in them for weeks. When he was bathed 3 handfuls of hair came out from malnutrition and lack of care. The ALLEGED owner (we say alleged because he is not microchipped, not neutered and not licensed therefore ownership cannot be proven) who neglected him for months and abandoned him for days, suddenly wants him back. JUDE is now in the care of the Downey Animal Care Center – County of Los Angeles, and is the subject of a neglect and abandonment investigation.
PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION to let the investigating officers know that he CANNOT BE RETURNED to the woman neglected and abandoned him! She admitted to leaving him out on the balcony all day everyday and finds nothing wrong with that, and who in fact leaves him there all night, EVERY night, to sleep on nothing but cold cement covered in how own excrement. JUDE DESERVES BETTER. Don’t let this sweet broken little pug boy go back to the balcony. To a life of neglect. To a life of loneliness. To a life where he will not doubt be abandoned again.
