We are struggling with corruption in our small town of Pinetop-Lakeside, AZ. We are seeking the public's help in making people aware of this and supporting us by spreading the word. It's a story involving a dog, but the real story is she is sentenced to death by a corrupt court system without due process of law:
POINTS FOR THE COURT TO PONDER:
1) Henna is a geriatric 14 year old house pet. She cohabitates with people, children and multiple other animals and has absolutely NO history of aggression whatsoever. How do you justify a sentence of DEATH for a historically non-aggressive dog?
2) As a rescue pup it was discovered that Henna’s original abusive owner had her front teeth filed off, rendering her pretty much defenseless and unable to actually “bite” anyone or anything; much less maul another animal such as she has been accused of. How do you explain this fact?
3) There is a documented history of theft and harassment against Mrs. Baker by her lovely “help your self” neighborhood which has thus far, for some strange reason, gone unpunished. Why are these people, who have a history of discrimination and criminal behavior directed at the Baker family, being allowed to dictate marching orders to the courts and have the Baker’s family dog destroyed without evidence, trial or benefit of counsel?
4) Henna’s original court date according to citations was set for June 4th. When Mrs. Baker called to confirm her court date she was told it was scheduled for June 9th. Then when Mrs. Baker next went to the courthouse she is informed that the “good judge” had already held proceedings in her absence generating a $5000.00 fine for alleged “failure to appear”, altered the charges against Henna from “Dog At Large” to “Vicious / Dangerous Dog” and sentenced her to death; upon review of the documents the recorded date of these proceedings was JUNE 3RD! So the question is this; how often does the “good judge” hold secret tribunals in which the defendant is tried, convicted and sentenced to DEATH without benefit of representation or council? And how can he justify legally doing so in a court sworn to uphold the constitutional rights of its citizens?
The fact is that Hanna is physically incapable of doing what these people claim. Please, let your voices be heard and stand up for Henna, she is a truly innocent victim in some stupid game this community insists on playing; a pawn used to hurt her family.
