The last few months the world has seen an extensive number of attacks from Islamic Extremist groups, chiefly ISIS, and their attacks at Universities have become common with the most recent one being in Kenya this past week. With their recent threat of a possible attac in DC (although unverified as of late) I think that all of us have the right to the utmost protection and safety as possible, and having an officer present at all times would be one direct way of making us all more secure as we live in the heart of the nation's capital. Although this goal is quite lofty based on the number of officers we currently have, I Think that it's really important that we push administration to ensure our safety as much as possible. I don't want us to live in fear because then the terrorists have won, however, I think it's also about being logical and securing our campus. Let's all come together to improve safety measures on campus, even if it costs one of you having to leave your room to tap in your friend, it's worth it to make us all safer.
