UK Government must stop Donald Trump's visit to the UK

After Trumps recent failure to condemn white supremacy in the U.S., his sharing of Islamophobic tweets from far-right organisation Britain First, and his misogynistic comments about women, we, the undersigned, demand that Prime Minister May show her denunciation of fascism and cancel Trump's planned U.K. visit.

After his previous visit was postponed due to fears of public protests, Donald Trump is now planning to visit the UK in February 2018. Whilst this won't be an official "state visit", so he won't meet the Queen, he will still be an honoured guest of our Government. He'll meet with our Prime Minister, and he will be able to spread his messages of hate, on British soil. We need not welcome him here.

The Home Secretary can issue a ban on entering the country to anybody if she considers that their presence in the UK is not conducive to the public good. She has done this many times in the past to various individuals considered to be spreading messages of hate. Trump is clearly guilty of hate speech. A Trump visit would embolden racism here, and foster community divisions. The Home Office needs to take action and ban Trump from our country.

Update #16 years ago
Great news! Trump has cancelled his February planned working visit!

Our government hasn't banned him though, despite Trump reportedly making some horrendous comments about people from other countries this week.

So please keep sharing the petition to demand the UK Government ban Trump from the UK.
