Forest Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture issued a decision prohibiting the wolf hunt,
which had been scheduled to take place on March 1, at the 32nd Hunting Event in Zlatibor.
This was confirmed to Tanjug by vice president of the Hunters' associations "Zlatibor",
Jovan Pavlovic. "On the eve of the opening ceremony prohibition came.
The reason is a lack of the three guards who are legally bound to oversee the surface of 57 hectares
where the wolf is hunted in Zlatibor. This condition hasn't been achieved by the 80 percent
of hunting associations in Serbia, because of the lack of funds. We have two guards with full time job and one part-time, "said Pavlovic. He stressed that Hunting Event, which had brought together about 1,000 hunters,
had been held, and that competition in shooting disciplines took place but not with live targets,
and that hunters went in the wolf hunt without weapons, using cameras instead.
I bow before every single hunter who replaced their shot guns for cameras.
