Acknowledge dogs as a living being not as a thing

Again and again incidents happen in the U.S involving animals, mostly dogs and police. And of course, the animals are always the ones to suffer or die. It almost seems as if some of the police, if they put on the uniform, leave their humanity and compassion at home provided that they ever had any. I would plead to enact a law that protects animals against trigger-happy policemen. Acknowledge animals as a living being. They are not a thing, they have feelings and they love life just as much as humans. They must also be respected as breathing and loving creatures . I would also like to thank those from police who saved animals. Please keep it up and maybe the others will then follow their example.
