Anything that humans find fancy to is not being left alone in this world and we human are become more cruel and clueless to the destruction we are causing by our irresponsible actions. Many of us love sea food and even more like to go to beaches but instead of preserving sea life for our sake as well as the oceans and our world, it is suffering from over fishing and exploitation which is a cause of serious concerns for anyone who wants to care or who can calculate where we will be in few years time.
In 2006, a study published by 14 scientist states that sea food supply will run out by 2048, another study estimates that over 70% of fish species are exploited and fully finished. It is not about just any common fish but all kinds of species which can be used for any purpose and specially food, some are symbol of prestige and wealth to be on food table just like shark fin soup which is banned in some countries but not in all. According to a study: for each person killed by a shark, there are 2 million sharks killed by humans. This is a serious example of human greed now causing more than enough damage to every living and in this case our oceans.
Due to this overfishing and exploitation, the drastic reduction in species is causing frightful changes in the whole ecosystem, an clear example if it is due to mass removal of oysters from some places have caused water to be more cloudy due to which sea grass beds being dependent on light died and were replaced by phytoplankton which does not support the same range of species.
No time will be better to support this petition than now.
