Having a friend (s) addicted with what feels like no hope. I understand this state is primitive in the new heroin epidemic. It is real and it is killing people and I know many who WANT to get clean via suboxin or methadone. There needs to be a chance for those who have become a victim of this drug. I'm hurt losing friends and seeing other friends also lose. It's now a priority and it's now time to take initiative and put forth the funds in order to make these citizens/mothers/fathers/friends usefull in society. Rehab Services and child facilities for the parents are essentially non existent or not accommodating..especially for those with no insurance. As a state with (from what I understand) a major surplus, I'm wondering why I'm struggling with supporting a close friend with an addiction. I'm angry at ND for not supplying the necessary means for a lifetime resident to get the help they need. Please tell me how I can request funds or to support an organization with my purpose.
